Naomi’s Awkward Life
July 21st, 2010
Coming soon to an internet near you! I am currently developing a web series that details my ever-so-awkward encounters with the opposite sex - mainly homeless people and old guys. We’ll be shooting Season 1 in September, and so now I am in the fundraising stage. I’ll be calling in favours and making use of the kindess of volunteer labour, but there are still costs that can’t be avoided and so I am looking to raise a minimum of one thousand dollars. As my mom puts it, that’s $10 from 100 people. That’s where you come in, dear friends and family! If you would like to help, or simply have an excess of funds, please feel free to donate using Paypal by clicking here. Your love and support (and money) are greatly appreciated.
Love Made Me Beg
March 11th, 2010
This is a slight departure from the typical blog post, but folks – I need your help. I am a finalist in a contest, and the winner is determined by votes. Now, I didn’t realize I was an incredibly competitive soul until I discovered that the solid hundred-vote lead I head a few days ago I had been snatched by this KH fellow who came out of nowhere and took the lead. Well, I decided that this just couldn’t do, and rallied the troops, and took back my lead… only to discover he foiled me again! Yegads! So we’ve been neck and neck the last few days, and now it’s simply a matter of pride. I don’t like to lose. And more than that, I like to win money. And lingerie. You can vote daily, 1 vote per IP address - http://www.lovemade.me/en/kiss_and_tell.php?highlight=02- my entry (Naomi T) is highlighted in bright pink using this link. Please share with all your friends, my dignity depends on it!
Performance of Olympic Proportions
February 14th, 2010
If any of you are attending any Olympic Events, look out for me! VANOC hired a fellow to put together a singing/dancing group to entertain ticket holders as they enter Olympic Venues, and I was cast as one of the troupe. We have a whole bunch of performances at Canada Hockey Place, Whistler Sliding Centre, Richmond Oval and on and on, so just keep your eyes and ears peeled for a bunch of entertainers in green and black.
Laugh Hard or Die Trying
December 1st, 2009
Sorry for the lack of updates, but at least my first in awhile will bring you laughter if you can make it out! The next VFS Sketch Comedy event takes place on Thursday, December 10th. The curtain goes up at 8:00pm but it always fills up fast so show up early if you can. It’ll cost you $5 at the door – bring $10 so you can buy beer. I have a feeling this is going to be an especially funny group of sketches so I hope to see you there!
